To be built on the grounds of a 70-year-old paint factory, this boutique hotel will exude a modern interpretation of previous industrial design just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Sai Kung. The two main features of the hotel will be luxury and individuality. These are to be achieved through style, practicality and attention to detail. The style will seek to tell the story of the hotel and its owner, and make it one of a kind. Important design considerations included the checking-in experience, making guests feel welcome with an entrance / lobby area where both the first and the last impressions are created. The landscape design also explored the creation of small, intimate and visually interesting and luxuriously appointed spaces and how the exterior became an extension of the interior both aesthetically and functionally.
