SCENIC were asked to develop a number of scenarios for the design of the building façade for a commercial development in Tsim Sha Tsui. Our approach was to take naturally occurring patterns and shapes from nature in a contemporary biomorphic interpretation. The study looked at natural crystalline structures and plant physiology and abstracted their forms to produce the design for the building façade. The design also responded to visual scale and function; with a street level experience and the aesthetic appearance within the wider urban landscape.
