The Cendas
3,120 sqm | Hong Kong
The Cendas office and retail development introduces a layered sequence of landscaped spaces at ground level, on the second-floor podium and at roof level, creating a rich progression of green amenities that support arrival, movement, relaxation and social interaction throughout the building.

The street-level landscape design softens the building's edge to create a welcoming first impression and a comfortable pedestrian experience. By combining thoughtful planting, signage, and public art, the generous entrance offers a refined sense of arrival while strengthening the development's overall street presence.

A raised deck at the site’s north-western corner provides a calm, inviting rest area separated from the adjacent roadside. Enclosed by greenery and integrated planters, this small-scale landscaping feature offers a comfortable space for breaks and conversation, bridging the gap between the building and the city while adding texture, shade, and human comfort to the street frontage.

The second-floor podium garden extends the workplace outdoors, offering tenants direct access to a flexible environment with covered areas, an open deck, and lush planting. By bringing nature into the heart of the building, this space accommodates informal meetings, relaxation, and daily enjoyment, ultimately supporting a healthier and more engaging workday rhythm.

The rooftop landscaped terrace acts as an attractive city retreat, giving building users a relaxed outdoor space to step away from intense office environments. Featuring lawns, planting, and comfortable seating, this garden serves as a valuable amenity space for relaxation and connection while offering a distinct vantage point with panoramic views of Hong Kong Harbour and the Kowloon mountain ridges.

Together, the connected landscape spaces transform the commercial building into a series of memorable, people-focused experiences. By integrating greenery, comfort, and visual interest from the street-level entrance up to the elevated terraces, the design enhances everyday working routines and improves the urban workplace environment.
